Maja Spanu, co-founder
Maja was born in Florence, Italy, of Italian and Croatian heritage. She studied humanities, social sciences and International Relations in Paris and then went on doing a PhD in Political Sciences. Over the past ten years, Maja has acquired extensive experience working in research in international affairs, university teaching, training and project management in higher education, philanthropy and policy in France, Italy, Australia and the UK. Currently affiliated to the University of Cambridge, she is passionate about building synergies between different professional and social universes and to do so through innovative and creative approaches. Maja deeply believes in the potential of intersecting perspectives and experiences through creativity to foster social change. She is currently based in Paris.

Laura Bullón-Cassis, co-founder
Born in Berlin in a blend of Spanish, Swiss and Middle Eastern cultures, Laura
grew up, studied, and worked internationally. Over the last decade, she held positions in international NGOs, the United Nations —for which she worked in Japan, Switzerland, Haiti and New York— and academia. Currently affiliated with New York University and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, she believes in the transformational power of collaborative and creative thinking in supporting the behavioural and societal changes urgent global challenges require. She particularly enjoys working with young people: she teaches courses on sustainability and media studies at NYU and Pratt Institute, and researches youth climate activism. She is currently based between Geneva and New York.
