Building on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 which calls for the consolidation of stronger global partnerships, at hYphen we bridge divides by building a community of individuals and organisations that work together in inclusive and innovative ways to solve common problems. Indeed, despite this call for common solutions, there is a growing divide among actors involved as to how to address them. 

 

Further, sustained and horizontal dialogue is lacking from current initiatives which often take the form of one-off events or trainings for targeted groups, thus lacking in diversity. 

 

Through our tailored Labs, we combine innovation with creativity to foster mutual understanding and growth among individuals and organisations who work on similar issues but from different perspectives. We have decided to focus specifically on youth, as we are convinced that younger generations have the potential to consolidate the building blocks for a better common future. 

 

Our Labs encourage self-reflection, dialogue, and community building between institutionalised or corporate actors, and the activists, artists, and social leaders who are typically excluded from decision-making processes. We offer horizontal collaborations which result in mutual development and solution building.

Through our activities and services, we offer human and not just professional development using innovative and creative means.
